【講義概要】
The course is designed to encourage critical thinking among students, keep them engaged in extensive discussion about diverse, interesting issues. Each unit covers two sets of discussion issues, an audio clip, reading comprehension activities reinforced with writing exercise and has an online study center for more individual practice and self-tests. The volume of materials and design allow for flexibility. It is a four-skills language course and task-based ensuring each student’s progress is monitored.
This course uses English only as medium of instruction.
【学習到達目標】
1.To introduce students to relevant issues, enable them to discuss, engage by giving opinions, and develop critical thinking.
2.To exercise and enhance their speaking skills in cohesion with the three other language skills.
3.To equip students with the ability to speak confidently.
【履修上の注意】
Students are encouraged to actively interact with their classmates. Students will work individually, in pairs, and small groups to complete tasks and have discussions. Please note: the schedule and evaluation criteria are subject to change.
【事前準備学習】
Students are expected to prepare for and review the lessons by completing homework tasks. Homework consists of a combination of creating scrapbooks and recording short videos. Homework will be given each week and should take a maximum of 1 hour.
