【講義概要】
Students in this course will learn to develop English skills, which include, listening, reading, speaking, and comprehension, giving opinions in a wide variety of topics worldwide. Reading newspapers and listening to news and watching to news broadcast on television, internet, radio, or print materials, will enable students to know current events, summarize them, and give opinions and ask questions in writing and speaking.
Note: This course uses English only as medium of instruction. All English.

The course aims to: 1. practice speaking skills/giving opinions 2. predict content from headlines 3. develop summarizing skills 4. to practice question formulation
【履修上の注意】
Students must attend all classes regularly, submit assignments and take part in speaking activities. All classes are in English. Consultation in Japanese: before and after class.

【事前準備学習】
Students have to prepare for quiz twice a semester. Submission of assigned homework should be on time (4 homework per semester) Class activities and homework will be 60% of your grade; 40% for Midterm and End term tests
