【講義概要】
This course will continue to develop effective English oral communication competency and speaking fluency. Through various student-centered activities and meaningful contexts, students will gain confidence to use language communicatively. Students play an active role to what is learned and how it is learned. In the student-centered speaking class, students do the talking in small groups or pair work offering opinions, explanations as well as sharing viewpoints and experiences. Students will gain insights into various topics and world cultures through an array of interesting and provocative topics explored to promote critical thinking and lively discussions.

Note: This course uses English only as medium of instruction.

As in the first semester, students should prepare for class and they will be penalised if they do not do homework or prepare adequately.

Students should do some research on the topic and be prepared to share ideas with classmates.

Weekly Class discussion: 60% (Includes pre-answered discussion tasks assigned to students)
Speaking/Writing Quiz: 40%
