【講義概要】
In this English conversation class, we focus on developing a sense of language mastery.
Here are the key points:
1. Understand what you have in mind and what you want to say to others, and express it in your native language.
2. Use translation tools or AI to explore different ways of expressing what you want to communicate.
3. Experience and understand that when speaking in English, you can't always convey exactly what you would convey in your native language. (the expressions you can use in English is very limited!)
4. Get comfortable with exposure to various English expressions.
5. Recognize that English pronunciation, especially its rhythm, differs significantly from Japanese. Speaking with a Japanese rhythm may make it challenging for English speakers to understand.
(This course is situated within Curriculum Policy 1)
【学習到達目標】
>Get used to realising what you have in mind.
>Get used speaking out words in English (with some assisstance of the translation apps).
>Get an opportunity to have some images with English words/sounds without translating to/from your mother tongue.
【履修上の注意】
1. You will lose points for unreasonable absence.
2. You won't lose points if notify in advance about your absence.
3. You need to attend at least 2/3 of the classes to earn credit.
4. Handing in tasks is important. Not submitting them could result in a failing grade.
5. You will be treated as absent if you come to the classroom more than 30 minutes late.
