講義概要

The course is designed to improve student’s analytical skills, create, present, and evaluate presentations. Students are asked to use the four skills in the completion of several tasks in the book aimed to improve their presentation skills. There are 8 units that cover the three types of messages: physical message, story message, and the visual message. The book also covers research and presentation techniques using for upgrading skills and confidence building in public speaking/presentation.

This course uses English only as medium for instruction. Textbook is also all English.



【学習到達目標】

1.To introduce students to relevant issues, enable them to discuss, engage by giving opinions, and develop critical thinking.
2.To exercise and enhance their speaking skills in cohesion with the three other language skills.
3.To equip students with the ability to speak through presentations.



履修上の注意

Bring yourself confidently in class and get ready with a dictionary, a notebook, textbook and laptop for viewing model presentations.



【事前準備学習】

Each Chapter will be taken up for 1-2 weeks. You will be given assignments such as exercises and research and expected to join discussions actively. Once you have your textbook, you will be able to access online exercise. The online tasks are optional depending on the pace of the class.
