【講義概要】

This course will continue to develop effective English oral communication competency and speaking fluency. Through various student-centered activities and meaningful contexts, students will gain confidence to use language communicatively. Students play an active role to what is learned and how it is learned. In the student-centered speaking class, students do the talking in small groups or pair work offering opinions, explanations as well as sharing viewpoints and experiences. Students will gain insights into various topics and world cultures through an array of interesting and provocative topics explored to promote critical thinking and lively discussions.

ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION: For each Unit's topic

Note: This course uses English only as medium of instruction.

You will be assessed every week on your classroom participation, performance and speaking skills.



【事前準備学習】

For this face-to-face class, please be prepared to speak English in class and complete all classroom activities. The teacher will also ask students to speak randomly. This will help determine your grade and improve. Students will be assessed on classroom performance, activities, and quizzes.

Weekly Class discussion: 60% (Includes pre-answered discussion tasks assigned to students)

Speaking/Writing Quiz: 40%
