【講義概要】

Students will learn and practice English presentation skills, including all stages of preparing and presenting. Language skills, visuals, body language and using an effective voice will be covered. Classes will also include reading and discussion of pertinent topics, with much time being spent on making presentations and receiving feedback from the instructor and other students. This student-centred approach will build confidence as high-level skills and results are attained.

This course is taught entirely in English.



【学習到達目標】

The objective of this course is for students to gain skills in selecting and researching a topic, and then presenting the results of their research in a speech in class.



【履修上の注意】

Success in this course depends on regular attendance and active participation.



【事前準備学習】

Students are expected to have successfully completed Eng. 101/102 and be able to use the skills taught in those courses. Pre-class preparation and post-class review is a responsibility students must undertake in order to consolidate class tasks and language input effectively.

Grades will be based on the completion of assignments, and evaluation of written work, speeches and class performance.
