【講義概要】
The exchange study program at our university provides students, who have acquired enough credits by the end of the year and have obtained a high score in TOEFL, the opportunity to study abroad for the long term and middle term study. Even if you do not actually study abroad, aiming for a high score acquisition will improve your English skills. In this class real-life and challenging communications skill will be practiced. This student-centered class with improve speaking and listening skills as well and confidence in English communication.
It also aims to enhance your knowledge of the world through academic discussion and by giving critical views on the topics undertaken in class.
【学習到達目標】
Students will aim to achieve the following items:
1. Test-Centered Goals: enhance listening, reading, grammar, and vocabulary
2. Practical Goals: Effective communication for international study and home-stay environments
3. Enhance critical thinking and discussion skills
【履修上の注意】
Students are required to buy a textbook. The distribution of handouts as necessary; keep them in a file and bring them to each lesson. Attendance and active participation in class is necessary. Prepare and complete all homework and study for quizzes and presentations. Students must have intermediate level.
Note: This course uses English only as medium of instruction.
【事前準備学習】
All classes will be taught in English mostly and in Japanese for instruction purposes only.
Since you will be discussion topics in an interactive manner, you are encouraged to make efforts to enhance and increase your vocabulary before coming to class.
