【講義概要】
In this intermediate communication course, students will build on their communication skills developed in the first year of university to lead student-led classes, discussing social and cultural issues and the language used in drama films. This is designed to improve students' confidence and fluency in English. Students will research, plan and present about a movie, followed by sharing an original worksheet, and leading discussions with their classmates. Students are expected to bring their files, dictionaries, writing materials, etc. to every class, as well as a smile, a positive attitude, and an open mind!
This course is taught entirely in English.

【学習到達目標】
On completion of the course, students will have a deeper knowledge of social and cultural issues in society and be more confident and capable in talking about these topics in English. They will also have developed their research, group work, presentation, and discussion skills.
【履修上の注意】
You must be prepared to work closely with classmates throughout this course. You will also be required to watch some TV shows and/or movies at your own expense (though there is no textbook to purchase for this course).
In the event of online (non-face-to-face) classes, lessons will be conducted using a combination of software, such as Microsoft Teams.

This is a content-based course, which means that all homework assignments must be completed on time, as they have a strong bearing on the success of students classroom activities.
