【講義概要】
The ability to debate and discuss with other people and listen to other points of view is an essential skill for any adult. In this course, students will gain knowledge and confidence in their use of English to explore and discuss some of the important moral, social and political issues of the modern world. Students will also have some input regarding what topics are discussed in the course.
This course is taught entirely in English.

【学習到達目標】
The goal of this course is to develop students critical thinking skills, as well as their ability to understand ideas and points of view that are different from their own. Gaining skills and confidence to do this in English is also a major part of the course.
【履修上の注意】
This course has a large reading and research element as part of class preparation. This must be completed on time for successful participation in classroom activities.
In the event of online (non-face-to-face) classes, lessons will be conducted using a combination of software, including Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

This is a content-based course, which means that all homework assignments must be completed on time, as they have a strong bearing on the success of students classroom activities.
