【講義概要】

The course is designed to equip students with vocabulary and speaking skills to succeed in the 21st century workplace. Projects require students to brainstorm a business idea, make pitch and pitch deck to present a business plan. This course enables students to improve presentation and writing skills pertinent to business. Grammar-focused activities in each unit highlight key points to provide the foundation, comprehension, and practical discussion skills application.

This course uses English only as a medium of instruction. The book is also all English.



【学習到達目標】

1.To familiarize students with business topics.
2.To get students engaged in conversational business English skillfully with ease
3.To exercise and enhance their speaking skills in cohesion with the three other language skills.
4.To equip students with the ability to speak confidently.



【履修上の注意】

Bring yourself confidently in class and get ready with a dictionary, a notebook, textbook with listening bar code for scanning, and an earphone/headphone for listening activities.

You may be asked to bring your laptop for online activities access or for a project.



【事前準備学習】

Each Chapter will be taken up for 2 weeks. You will be given assignments such as vocabulary and a reading passage, and expected to submit on time. Once you have your textbook, you will be instructed to do a task for follow-up exercises and self-study.

The additional resources will be provided by the teacher. You will also be asked to do research on relevant topics to expand your knowledge of economies worldwide.
参考書The book has a bar code for scanning listening activities. Explanation will be provided by the teacher in class.
