【講義概要】

The course is designed to encourage critical thinking among students, keep them engaged in extensive discussion about diverse, interesting issues. Each unit covers two sets of discussion issues, an audio clip, reading comprehension activities reinforced with writing exercise and has an online study center for more individual practice and self-tests. The volume of materials and design allow for flexibility. It is a four-skills language course and task-based ensuring each student’s progress is monitored.

This course uses English only as medium of instruction.



【学習到達目標】

1.To introduce students to relevant issues, enable them to discuss, engage by giving opinions, and develop critical thinking.
2.To exercise and enhance their speaking skills in cohesion with the three other language skills.
3.To equip students with the ability to speak confidently.



【履修上の注意】

You will be assessed every week on your classroom participation, performance and speaking skills.



【事前準備学習】

For this class, please be prepared to speak English in class and complete all classroom activities or prints. The teacher will also ask students to speak at random times. This will help determine your grade and improve. Students will be assessed on classroom performance, activities, and quizzes.



【教材】

※指定図書は担当教員が、学生が必読すべきものとして指定する図書のことです。
 　図書は図書館に置いてあり、１週間借りることができます。（一部貸出不可の図書もあります。）
教科書There will be no textbook for this course. Instead, the teacher will provide prints for each relevant activity.
