【講義概要】
This course is for students who are interested in learning English knowledge and skills for the airline industry. To maxmise interaction between the teacher and students, this will be given to a small number of students.
Advanced skills and background information in the area will be introduced through being engaged in various activities of specific airport and flight situations. Materials used in Japanese airline companies are also introduced. By the end of this course, you are expected to understand specific vocabulary and phrases and to improve your English communication skills for working for airline companies in the future.
【学習到達目標】
1) To develop practical English communication skills for specific “airline” situations;
2) To understand and practice a range of important vocabulary words and expressions for the airline industry
3) To understand some important aspects and background information of the industry.
【履修上の注意】
You will automatically fail if you are unable to attend more than four times throughout the term. You will be marked as ‘absent’ if you are late for the class twice. On the other hand, if you attend all the classes and actively participate in, you will earn some extra points (which may help you in the end!).

- Review what you learned in the previous class and complete the homework.

【評価方法】
You will be graded according to the following criteria. You have to satisfy 60% of them to pass the course:
- Class participation 20%
- Group presentation and assignments 20%
- Mid-semester exam 30%
- Final exam 30%
