【講義概要】
Based on what you learned in the previous English courses, you are expected to gain advanced English knowledge and skills, which are required for effective communication in the real world. You will be able to understand a relatively rapid speed of speech, and to describe your opinions accurately and appropriately. You are also expected to be able to understand wide ranges of texts, and to write English essays with an emphasis on your opinions.

By the end of the course, you are expected to be able:
to understand extended speech; to formulate ideas and opinions and express them; to relate your contribution skillfully to those of other speakers.
【履修上の注意】
Students need to attend all classes and are responsible for assignments as there is no late work accepted.
【事前準備学習】
Students will prepare ideas/considerations of two sides of a topic (three topics per class) from which they will assume one position or the other and debate in small groups. Students will prepare two typed writing projects.
