【講義概要】
Building on the basic skills acquired in English 103/104, students will develop intermediate skills for various writing activities, as well as strategies for producing effective and accurate writing in wider communicative situations (such as answering questions about what they read). Through various activities, students will learn how to write summaries and explain their ideas, and in so doing develop the skills needed for the activities in English 205/206 Project.
【学習到達目標】
By the end of the course, students will be able to write in a variety of English genres, and will, for example, be able to write descriptions of events, express ideas in short essays and other written contexts, as well as be able to summarize.
【履修上の注意】
Students will learn how to communicate in English, with few pauses and with informative answers. Students will also learn how to ask and answer questions in a conversational manner and greatly improve their communication skills.
The important information will always be on the whiteboard in the classroom so always pay attention to information written there.
【事前準備学習】
Each student should make sure that he or she practices reading and writing in areas that interest them.
. Practice reading English without looking up each word in a dictionary. Practice guessing the meaning and continuing in the reading exercise.

Grades will be based on class participation (for which attendance is necessary) and various assignments and tests.
