【講義概要】
Based on what you learned in the previous English courses, you are expected to gain advanced English knowledge and skills, which are required for effective communication in the real world. You will be able to understand a relatively rapid speed of speech, and to describe your opinions accurately and appropriately. You are also expected to be able to understand wide ranges of texts, and to write English essays with an emphasis on your opinions. These skill will be further stretched to ensure confident conduct in an English speaking business world.

By the end of the course, you are expected to be able:
to understand extended speech; to formulate ideas and opinions and express them; to relate your contribution skillfully to those of other speakers.
【履修上の注意】
Students must have all homework finished before class. Failure to do so will result in a demerit.
Students are expected to arrive to class on time. Two unexcused late entries will result in an absence. Five absences will result in failure of the course.
【事前準備学習】
Find an English novel to bring to class for reading/speaking exercises. Students must ALWAY have notebook paper, pens, and pencils in class.

Vocabulary tests & Class participation: 30%, Writing tasks: 20%, Final exam: 50%
