【講義概要】
All living things communicate, but human language seems to be different from what other living things use to communicate. In this class we try to understand how human language is different from the communication systems of other living things, and how it evolved, by watching various videos of plants and insects and other animals communicating. Most classes will consist of watching a video, and then answering questions about the content of the video.

The objective of this class is to help students develop some understanding of the different kinds of communication systems used by humans and other living things, and how these systems may have evolved.

Active participation (for which comingto class is necessary) is
required for receiving a good grade.
